By Hayden Christie · Head of AI & Aircraft Research November 2026 Data at 31 October 2026
This month at a glance

The US business jet fleet stands at 15,713 aircraft in operation across 253 tracked models. 1,206 of them are on the market, 7.7 percent of the fleet, and 46 of those have a buyer under contract. Set those aside and 1,160 jets are available, against 1,177 listed at the end of September.

Across most of the market, October changed little. The exception came at the top.

More choice at the top. A flat month below it.

At the end of September, 77 ultra long range jets were listed in the US. At the end of October, 84 were available and 10 more were under contract. Ultra Long Range is the one segment where listings rose whether or not you count aircraft under contract.

The Gulfstream G650ER went from 7 listings to 11, and the G550 has 15 aircraft available against 10 in September. A long-range buyer who waited for the right aircraft for most of this year can now line up several and compare them. The segment remains the tightest in the market, with 4.7 percent of its fleet on offer.

Below the top end, the segments held close to their September rates: Very Light Jet at 9.2 percent, Midsize at 8.9, Large Cabin at 8.6 and Light Jet at 8.1. Super Midsize stays the second tightest at 5.2 percent. Listed midsize jets have been on the market 306 days on average, the oldest inventory of the six main segments.

If you sell a G200, you compete with 36 other owners: 37 of 130 US aircraft are on the market, 28.5 percent of the fleet.

Asking range is the span of model-level average asking prices within each segment, not the range of individual aircraft. It is an asking figure in every case, never a transaction price.

03 · Source and basis

Every price here is an asking price

What the numbers are, and what they are not

Asking price and transaction price are different numbers. Read every figure in this report as an asking figure, including the segment ranges above. Transaction prices in business aviation stay private, and we will not dress an asking price up as one.

Fleet counts, listings, days on market and asking prices come from the JETNET Evolution database, read on 6 November 2026, with listings and days on market measured at 31 October 2026. Headline figures cover United States based aircraft in operation: 15,713 jets, against 15,710 in the 30 September JETNET STAR edition on the same basis. Aircraft on the market include 46 under a sale contract.

Model rows sum to the totals above. Asking prices are model-level averages of advertised prices, rounded to the nearest $1,000. Segment definitions are Integris classifications. Days on market is how long the aircraft still listed have been for sale, not how long sold aircraft took to sell. This edition reads the live database rather than the STAR report, so we compare it with 30 September only where a change holds on either count.
